Jessica Dorff
Using wood log pieces as her canvas, ink & wood burning as her tools she has transferred her love of movies in to a work of art.
Jessica Dorff is a Pyrographer & Painter living in Eugene, Oregon. After leaving a career in Cartoons at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio, she relocated herself in the Pacific Northwest to pursue her own artistic path. When illustrating & burning a wooden clock depicting the “Grady Girls” from Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining, to hang in her own kitchen, the idea of wood burn portraits was born. Her work hangs in private collections in Oregon, North Carolina, Texas, New York, Maine, Pennsylvania, and California. The entire series depicting the characters from “Twin Peaks” were lauded by Kyle MacLachlan, and can be seen featured at Hicksville Pines Bud & Breakfast in Idylwild, California (hicksville.com) She often takes on custom commissions, and can be contacted at dorffmonger@yahoo.com
